Last week of August
What fish are typically caught from surf during this period (and yes I know it will be hot!) ?- also I would be available to assist anyway I can on the Tuesday night shark removal program!

I have caught a few small whiting, upper slot reds, and a few small black drum-all live sandfleas. I caught a handful of flounder on a 3" gulp new penny shrimp on a 3/8oz jighead by walking into the trough up to my chest and throwing to the bar and dragging it off the dropoff. Most were undersized or barely legal. I couldn't keep the little jacks, hardtails, pinfish and harheads off fresh dead shrimp.
Edit: All the ladyfish you care to reel in and the occasional bluefish to cut you off.
