Which side of Perdido Pass is more productive in October? Would you use live bait or lures?
Interested in the info that people offer on this. As I’ll be down the 2nd week of October
Depends on what you want to catch and where exactly you want to fish.
on the west side along the seawall, you might catch spanish, blues, specs, reds, sheepshead, flounder, grey snapper, etc.. Or not, depending on water & tide conditions.
East side inside the pass might be good for the same, depending on where you fish and how deep it is. Throw pompano into the mix closer to the jetty.
On the outside of the pass, its pompanom, whiting, plus all the above.
Too hard to say this far out, water clarity, tides, etc.., change. So do where the fish are biting.
So there is no real clear answer to your question,.
Best bet is to be mobile, don't be stuck on one side or another, or one spot or another. Don't stay where the conditions aren't good and fish aren't biting, move around.
