Hi, I m Daniel and I'm from mobile and I'm new to saltwater fishing . Only been fishing 3 times at dauphin island and caught some redfish and a flounder off of thawed shrimp. I was planning a trip to gulf shores to fish off the pier for Spanish mackerel and was wandering what # leaders I should use and how long and what about the Looney jigs ? Are they as good as everyone says. Thanks

Thanks everyone that really helped just one last question. What leader and what pound would you use . I have heard stories of Spanish eating right through the leader so I was wanting expert advice
