Is It Too Much To Ask....

Can we get an update a tad more specific than "mid to late August" for the reopening of the pier? I know that this is a difficult task for those in government unaccustomed to meeting a deadline or Heaven forbid a payroll, but gathering information from the contractor and compiling a few paragraphs is not rocket science. A conversation between the contract administrator and the contractor would do the trick, especially if the administrator took the time to inspect the work periodically.
Hopefully, no damage has befallen the pier during the current storms, and this missive will soon be irrelevant.

No one is saying because no one knows.
The DCNR is applying pressure on the contractor, but they have a long 'wish list'.
It may take some time...

BTW, NO damage from "Marco", and I doubt there will be much (if any) from "Laura" overnight.
But the work (outside) has been pretty much washed out for the past several days, with more in the forecast.

I'm as 'antsy' as anyone else to see the pier reopened ASAP.
And I believe the state officials are pressing the contractor to get it done soon, and RIGHT.
When that will be is still anyone's guess.
But 'pestering' The State Park & Montgomery folks won't do anything to help the situation.

This is all in the contractor's hands. Maybe we should have been asking them?
