Next week
Going to Ft. Morgan Wednesday through Sunday of next week. Can someone tell me if anything is biting off the beach. Using (4) 12' rods with fresh dead shrimp, double hook pompano rigs. Also have a few rigs to try to catch a black tip if I can catch some decent bait.

Check the reports! Especially those from Peir#r.
Right now, the bite is on one day, way off the next. Its that time of year.
I don't think you will find sharks inshore right now.Carl

Patience, Grasshopper. What you described for your tackle is fine, and fresh shrimp is what I would use if I were there. The pompano can be hit or miss right now, along with whiting and croaker, reds, etc. Bring what you got and give it a try, it will be worth it (weather permitting), and it could be more than worth it. You know how it goes. Welcome to the Forum, sorry for the delay to your post.

The bottom line is that, other than recent posted reports, nobody can give a definitive answer about fishing possibilities. A guy just has to go and try his luck. A fellow puts the odds in his favor by using good tackle, strong knots, sharp hooks, and fresh/live bait. After that, you just have to give it your best shot and enjoy the outdoor experience.
