If you getting a little cabin fever.You may want to look at gulf water temps,and the weather forcast til the 1st of next week.With this patch of
warmer weather and southerly winds,warmer water has been pushed back in. see reports at okaloosa island pier for 12/3 and 12/4.
I was thinking the same thing the buoy off Orange Beach is plenty warm enough for kings still. :banana:

The buoy (42012) south of Orange Beach is back to 71.4 degrees.

Yall;that is what I taking about.The king bite is not over,until the water gets to cold for them.Landsat imagery showed that water temps were holding at 70 in 120 ft of water and that is why after only little over 24 hours of winds coming in from the SE and S it was able to push that warmer water back to the beach;and the kings came with it.The reports from Okaloosa pier was proof that this was occering again.I had off Wed & Thurs; l Wed morning,no rush because each of the previous days there had been an afternoon bite,and that morning they had put between 20 and 30 fish on the deck,from dawn to sun up.I got there about 9:30 wind was from the N and light with a forcast of winds switching around to SE by afternoon;there was plenty of bait,and when you were hooking them up to cast they were warm.The discussion about the day before afternoon run it happened a tide line passed,and 10:30 we could see one comining down the beach from the east;but when it passed water temp dropped and at 3:30 when I left the baits we brought up were icy.Thrus.I couldn't go back,because I had to get done,what I had put off to go Wed.Winds on Thurs were back to SE again and the warm water and kings were back.This has been the story from this entire fall,missing a run by an hour;or being a day early or late.that is fishing.I have off again Mon after the next front has moved,may days off has not worked out.I would be there tomarrow if I could;so good luck and bloody the decks.If my luck changes this next front will show down,and I'll go Mon.???
