What size trebel? I am new to mackerel but I have used circle hooks before. But I am sure that a trebel will be better. I need all the help I can get so 3 hooks is better than 1!

depends on the type of bait used... down to #6 for small baits and up to 2/0 for hardtails/spanish...
most common probably#2 or #4
Ok great. Thanks.
Grab a handful of their .99 cent sabiki rigs and some #2 - 3X or 4X trebles. Not stainless!
Listen to what you're told and if the bite is on you stand a good chance of at least getting a hook up. Landing a hooked king is never a sure thing, so don't get frustrated if you lose a few before decking one. Best bet is just to smile and say, "Thanks for the advice" when someone offers to help - whether you plan on taking the advice or not.. :poke1:
I'd never accuse anyone of being touchy...... :nyd:
Ok will do Fin. I have already bought a few Gotcha's for some spanish. What colors are best on those?
I can assure you that I won't reject any advice!

Is there a particular color on the sabikis that works better than others? I was having a very hard time catching bait last week when I was seeing other people catching.
I do best with #10 gold hooks
The best for small LYs are the ones with small hooks and flies.
the ones @ BPS are no longer $.99 but $1.29 and they have the small green beads ::)
They are OK for larger LYs, Spanish Sardines and hardtails.
Like Peaches suggested small gold hooks (#8 or #10) are going to be a good (and cheaper alternative).
Thanks Peaches and Pier #er
