To whoever it was who borrowed my pier net at the cleaning tables this afternoon, you failed to return the black and red cable clamp I use to keep it neatly stowed. I'm kind of fond of it and couldn't find another like it the last time I looked, so I'd appreciate it if you'd return it. I feel sure it was just an oversight in the excitement of landing the fish---the kind of thing I'd do myself, so please PM me or bring it back to the pier tomorrow. Thanks.

Yea. I keep waiting on someone to call me and tell me they found the Tilley that blew over board last year. Without question, my all time favorite hat - for which there is no replacement. :(
I'll tell you a story of when I did find something that was stolen, I fishing at the fairhope pier, I had 4 rods out rigged for reds. I started fishing a little rod of mine for trout/croaker. I set the little rod down for just a second, I walked over to do something (can't remember what), and no sooner than I had walked away that rod rockted up into the air and splashed down. A red fish stole it. Anyways, one day while I was at the GS pier, I saw someone fishing a very familiar rod. It was the rod that the red fish had stolen nearly a year earlier! I asked him where he found it, can't remember what he said, but I still see that rod from time to time down at the GS pier. asking him for it back didn't even cross my mind, you all know the rules of the water, finders keepers! legally too
The matter has been completely resolved, to my satisfaction. Nice guy.
