She is making us some Spanish Mac jigs for the spring trip. She needs a bit of practice on the thread work, but after she gets done with the first 50, she should have the hang of it.

The chartreuse with green feathers is her version of a "Preacher" jig. I told her I did not like the green color, she quickly told me it was not my jig. Lol

Ask her if she is interested in selling so of those. Looks good to me

The Wife says no sales till she gets really good. She says there should be plenty to go round come May...again, no guarantee on color. I'll think of something fun for the give away.

The first 5 go to Todd for holding the Cobia rod for me for 5 months!! Pick your weight and color! 1/2 or 3/4oz, She says she gets to choose the colors for #6...and you have to throw it till you lose it before you start on your choice!

She got a sack full of grizzly hackles off of flea bay. What you think about a couple of these hanging off the back of a white Mac jig? I'll post a some pics when she gets a few tied up.

Salty Preacer jigs.

Less is best.....unless maybe a cobe jig.....the more on it the more air it will catch and distance loss....plus the fall rate in the water.....just my opinion

Agree, on a mac jig, you want it streamlined to fall fast.

The hackles are whispy, and tied on 3/4 oz heads. Should not be a problem on falling fast. And...if all else fails, I'll go to the bottom and dredge for some Bulls.
I have been eying the colors in the bag and definitely see some shrimp in there...she has a hundred or so short hooked jigs for flounder and pompano too.
She better get busy!
