Here are pictures of a few I have caught or taken pictures of that were caught by friends of mine.
John Giannini and Hunter G.
This fish was caught the day the pier was closed to fishing due to the oil spill.

2012 fish. A lot of team work went into this fish. During the fight it wrapped a piling and the line had to be cut and spliced.

Last years fish that was a fluke catch. It was caught early morning on a old rotten ballyhoo that had been thawed and refrozen a couple of times.

Nice job Jeb,
A fine group of pics.
I specially liked the pic of the 49 lber in 2011 since we have a little history earlier that day.
That is impressive Jeb. Jigs or live bait from the ones on the pier?
2 on jigs one on a live alewife from Mallory Lindy and the last one was caught on a old rotation ballyhoo while snobbling for kings
Actually, my dad caught a barely legal cobia on one of the first days that the pier opened in 2009. It was only legal by about an inch but he tossed it back. Maybe mention his fish in the footnotes when you write the official History of New GSP Catches.
10-4 and very grateful for a fisherman that is willing to throw back such a good eating fish.
Looked closely at this pic and noticed there is a tiny hint of a smile on Jebs face.
Half a smile I'd say.
This is very uncharacteristic for Jeb. He told me he would smile only when he gets a 100 #er.

I guess a half 100 #er rates a half a smile!!!!!
Attachment 1752rogers tarpon from last year that we beached.
I got a tarpon via kayak a few 100 yards from the pier last year. I didn't get any pics myself (had my hands full)
But maybe someone did.

Not pier, but tarpon and cobia! The boated tarpon are from before the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo changed it to catch-and-release.
