I went out of port Canaveral back in the mid 70's and there was a abundance of communication ships in port,always wanted to get involved and went into the army reserves in the late 70's into communications field,unfortunately I never progressed into the money making part of it

Honestly, I am not sure Tom. But your speculation has merit as recent rains would have brought an influx of nutrients into eastern LL and a subsequent increase in macroscopic life feeding on that...
Rain/Red minnows shortage this...
