Five or six years ago you could get them in your price range, or even less, on ebay. I don't know what the going rate is for a decent one these days, but I bet you can still get a reel and all the "essential" parts for modification for well under $100. If I were in the market for a 302 or a 402 today, I'd watch ebay for a week or so to get a feel for the market and bide my time waiting on a good deal on a reel. Then I would call the Fisherman's store directly to get a PUM kit and a crosswind and not utter the word ebay, since he offers better prices when dealing directly with him.

Look on ebay at one of his items, he always has one of his business cards somewhere in the picture.

i know aplace where i can get one for 50 dollars but i wanted check on here first
