Balloon Tires

Be honest I don't remember exactly. Got carried away and spent considerably more than I intended to. Ask John next time you are in the store.

By the way - John - remember we were discussing using a power driver of some sort to remove the U bolts? A ratchet w/ 7/16" socket was all that would fit. The bolts sit directly under the top bar of the frame and gets in the way - unless you have one that is less than about 6" high. Even then, like I said, a very quick operation.

What is the reason for two sets of tires, (Sand???) I would think the large rubber tires would work. maybe I assume to much .

[font=comic sans ms][size=12pt]I have two beach carts with Wheelez balloon tires. Inflation is recommended to be 3 psi or less. The tires spread out on top of the sand whereas the hard rubber tires tend to dig in. The balloon tires are great in the sand, but the cart tends to rock n roll on hard surfaces.
Back in the good old days, we used to drop tire pressure by about half in 4X4 and beach buggy tires. They ran way better on the sand with low air pressure vs fully inflated tires.

What Fin said. Pulling a wagon across soft sand with regular wheels is pretty much a guaranteed heart attack. :boohoo:

I have used the ballon tires on the pier for a couple of years, no problems, I am not a regular so not sure about continued use. As has been stated the ballon tires require a different axle, have to take off 2 ubolts, no more than 10 minutes.
