Free Cart Wheels
Just wanted to show off my curb find, and hopefully be charitable at the same time. I was driving home yesterday, and I noticed that one of my neighbors had unceremoniously dumped a pile of trash on his curb. Thankfully at the last second, I noticed a large wheel in the pile! Upon further investigation, I uncovered a beat up Powerwheels 4-wheeler that had four good large, wide plastic "tires" on it. I quickly scooped it up, took it home, and robbed the wheels off of it. So now, I have 4 good wheels, two of which will become the wheels for my kayak cart. The other two are up for grabs! The price you might ask? $FREE.99! Just cover shipping! Here's a pic in case anyone is interested. Also, they measure 13" in diameter and 7" wide, and take either a 1/2" or 3/8" axle (I forgot to measure that part). If anyone wants them, just let me know!

Hard plastic power wheel wheels work ok for pier and for beach ?
-
I'm sure they will. For the sand, its more about the width (size of the wheel footprint) than the material, and hard plastic wheels work just fine on the pier. I have a set of the tall plastic lawnmower wheels on my pier cart and they do just fine.
