Labor Day Weekend DIY Projects

I completed two easy projects this weekend. With the exception of the stainless parts and the spring, I pretty well had all of the parts for these laying around my garage.

First is a DIY line spooler. The wife got tired of holding onto spools of line, so I had to make a substitute!

Second is a DIY Hawaiian spear gaff....just in case I happen to catch something toothy that I'd rather not be thrashing around, I can dispatch them quickly.

I think your on to something by making a spooler so she doesn't have to hold the spool and crank the reel too , She should be able to get more of your reels done faster giving her more time to tie jigs for you , cast the jigs and sinkers too ,
I think the other wives will all want one now .
