This is my first attempt at marbling. I have several two piece rods that I making lip gaffs out of the bottom piece and wanted to try marbling.

Looks nice to me....and that rod section sure makes for good small gaff's for the boat
Thanks Ironman, it works great for a small boat gaff, or in Peaches case a yak gaff!
Re: My first attempt at marbling
i remember my first time marbling, it turned out pretty good, that one looks just as good though if not better, it's a bit like a first relationship, you have to take it slow and steady, don't get too excited, don't rush, and when it's over, you just want to do it over again, but that last part isn't the case for this one, it turned out good.
Re: My first attempt at marbling
I personally am not a fan of marbling, but I have to admit that your first attempt looks very good.
Re: My first attempt at marbling
If you had not said it was your first attempt I would have never known .It looks that good !
Re: My first attempt at marbling
?
Is the whole rod like that or just the area that would otherwise have a wind above the foregrip?
Re: My first attempt at marbling
Thanks guys for all the compliments, it has been fun trying new stuff. I have seen some marbling jobs that I have not been crazy about too. This is a 42" gaff that i did, I have done several since then and several rods too. I will post some pictures when I get a chance.
Re: My first attempt at marbling
Nice job! That looks really good.
Re: My first attempt at marbling
Would you be interested in selling one of the gaffs ? If so how much .
