Bought a used cart from Chillinfish awhile back, added a rack to hold my net and gaff and gave it a new paint job, i think it turned out pretty good

What material for the add on? ...
.I am working on my new cart for up grades .....handle height extension(almost done), flooring (done),still thinking of the net holder and gaff.....everything has to be easily removable..debating on cooler size too , may need a couple more rod holders, bucket holder?
This is the part I like preparing for the next trip......still need to widen the reese hitch carriet I use to haul it with the little extra width of the cart.....I made it years ago out of stainless for hauling many things.
You should turn that to the inside,.....those hooks look to be face high, plus may not mess with the one rod holder beside it
I used 1"x1" aluminum tubing, hooks are actually lower than they appear, bout chest height, just gives my net clearance above the ground, gaff does go on the inside, prongs go in the top of the tubing to hang that way, and actually the one rod holder doesnt get messed with really, just dont want to put a sabiki rod in that holder lol
For floors I used some cutting boards from Walmart, zip ties, silacon adhesive.
It makes things sit even , and if needed to cut on. Attachment 6154
There was a guy at the flea market a few weeks ago with some pvc sheeting, gonna check it out this weekend to see if hes back, itd make a good flooring, plus i have a crazy idea for a built on tackle box with rolling trays lol, been too long since i made it to the pier so i have all kinds of crazy ideas rolling around
I used some plastic sheeting from Lowes for the floor of my PVC pier cart. You can find it back where they keep paneling. Cuts nicely with a multi-tool and is rigid enough if you have adequate support underneath.
I got a 2x4 piece of plastic at the flea market saturday for 2.00, (my price range).had to cut it in 1/2 so it would fit under the top tube rails....almost perfect fit so it can be removed and no attachment is needed, have enough material for front half sides if needed but not to the top rail.....the piece is perferated with holes for drainage......some kind of organizer sheet,handle extension is done but a couple pins for it......having fun even when not at the pier, preparing for the next trip:D:drunk
I think the lil projects us out of towners come up with for fishing the pier is what keeps us sane until we can get back down to actually fish the pier lol

This is last year's version. It's a Yamaha Drive combined with a Jettywalker backpack (which is the bee's knees, btw). Quite the "surf cart", if I do say so myself.
