wheeleez Wheels

Just bought a pair of new in original packing, 12" Gray PVC Wheels with 1/2" bushings for a beach cart for $76.50 and free shipping on E Bay. I'm thinking this was a good buy at that price. I believe Wheeleez may have discontinued these, but not sure. I know nothing about these wheels and was wondering if I bought a silk purse or a pig in a poke? Planning on using these on a PVC cart I built for the beach. Right now it has narrow rubber tires on it and I don't think I'm up to pulling those very far in the soft sand.

I have a couple Wheeleez folding carts with 8" and 12" wheels. They work fine in the sand if you don't overload them. Did the wheels come with the stainless steel quick change axle kit?

No axle, just the hubs and tires. From what I have read I should be able to get an aluminum axle or make one for about $20 or so. I see these wheels on line for $60 each, so A pair for $76.50 seemed lIke a bargain to me.

Who was the seller? I can't find them that cheep on ebay. I built a pvc cart last year and used tires off an old kids tractor that I found on the curb. It worked well I thought, but I have a strapping 15 year old who pulls it for me on the beach.

Wheeleez are great for sand carts; we have used them for a few years, with no problems. And that was a good deal for two. Mine are 4 psi Max, so I use a bicycle pump and low press. gage to keep them set correctly.

My wheels just got here yesterday. I'll check the box and e-bay and post who I got them from and post it for you later today. It was not a "Buy It Now" deal. It was an auction. My high bid was $100 when the auction ended I was high bidder at $76.50. Only 4 or 5 people bidding, the bid below mine was $75.50. The way I found these was to check E Bay every few days for Beach Cart Wheels and these popped up. They are a pair of 10" x 7" Gray with 1/2" bushings. Brand new in a Wheeleez carton. Went to Home Depot this morning and got a 36" Aluminum 1/2" rod and some washers and cotter pins for $17 to build an axle.

That was a great deal!!! I will keep watching. Just a point to consider, find a way to pin the axel so it does not shift left and right. I did not and mine did. I had too double nut the axel at the point that it is connected to the body of the cart.
