inexpensive crossbow
I titled this "inexpensive" rather than "cheap" because after I purchased one for my girlfriend (sighted it in and shot it a few times) I really liked it.
Walmart online has the Barnett bcr recurve on sale for about 60$. Its compact and light weight, its also much more accurate than I expected. At 20 yards the groups I shot ranged from just under an inch to just under 2 inches. Its a very simple crossbow. The red dot scope that comes with it isn't the greatest, but its functional. Also comes with 3 bolts and field tips.
The downside- by modern standards its quite slow. About 250 fps. Not a big deal to me since that's still faster than the first compound bow I used for almost a decade in my youth.
Just thought I would let people know. Its tough to get into the woods ready to hunt for less than a few C notes. This handy little crossbow does it for much less.
