Fresh Shrimp
Hey guys I'm new to the forum. My wife and I are coming from Kansas City for a week of fishing and relaxation. I've been searching for a place to buy shrimp straight off the boat. I noticed a gentleman posted a couple days ago about a place that sells a min of 50lbs. I don't know if I need that much shrimp, so I thought I'd see what other options I have. I'd like to get my hands on royal reds as well, but I may have to resort to a fish market for that sort of treatment. Let me know what you guys think!

Your referrals to Billy's and Aquilas' are both good. We arrived from Wisconsin on the first and were at Billy's on the 2nd. Extra Jumbo shrimp were $12.95. The also had reds, as well as crawdads. I didn't look at the prices on those, because I was too shrimp-starved to look at anything else. They steam the crawdads right there. And.....the boss is good for some laughter if you get him going. Enjoy!

I love shrimp. Among ocean and river there are various types of shrimps, prawns I do catch using my kayak. And just love to BBQ those and eat with my wife.

A 35 to 40 minute drive to Pensacola and google for directions to Joe Patti Seafood. You will find a broad spectrum of quality seafood at reasonable prices. Try some of the smaller sizes of shrimp and you might like the flavor even more. I usually go about once a week when I am at Orange Beach for my annual month in the fall.

So, obviously I’ve posted that I’ve been away for about 12 or 13 years and am coming down on the 26th to rejoin the community. I’m amazed at how much pier knowledge I lost over the years and so a few...
