Always been gators there. Why call the wildlife office on the gator? Your friend should not have the trout hanging over on a stringer to begin with, put fish in a collapsible cooler bag with ice. He did ask for that to happen. So you know there could be a bull shark come up and take a stringer too you are in their domain.

FYI...they do have a policy at the wildlife office to deal with problem gators,(shoot-em) that came from the lady who works there. I don't think this was his first rodeo at stringer stripping.
You're absolutely right about the stringer....my buddy knows better now.

I know the policy I have lived in the area my entire life. I just hate to see our local wild life killed because of peoples ignorance that's all.

That's happened time and time again. I can remember even as a kid in the 70's people standing next to a 'Don't feed the alligators' sign feeding alligators in the state campground. I also remember even telling one lady who was walking her poodle on a leash right next to the water where a big gator was sitting waiting on a hand-out that she better move her dog or the gator would.

Some people are just stupid and their actions cause animals t be destroyed. Leave Wild Life Alone and don't feed them that Includes fish on stringers. If it is in their water it is fair game.
