It’s time to start the list of goodies that everybody is going to bring and share with our pier family.
All food items must be ready to eat since we can’t fire up a grill on the pier.
If your spouse or other doesn’t fish, surely they eat, so bring ‘em along. This is a family affair!

[size=14pt]MENU UPDATES as of April 24, 2012[/size]
Meats:
+ 60lbs of BBQ, sauce,plates, paper, towels, ect... - John G
+ Will do a few roasts and slice em up for small roast beef po-boys (baguettes sliced to a size one hand can handle).
Plus dressings-- 'maters, shredded lettuce, mayo, and other stuff that can be kept cold.
Maybe gravy - DiveDeep
+ hot dogs and buns – Bucket’s Mom

Salad:
+ 'faux' West Indies salad and crackers - Pier#r
+ “cuke" salad - Coolerrider

Bread:
+ Couple loaves of Bread – TopPop

Veggies/Sides:
+ Cheesy cheese macaroni – Tater73
+ Baked Beans – Bucket’s Mon
+ Potato Salad – FinChaser

Dessert:
+ Some dessert – Itestdirt
+ Ice pops for the kiddos – Tater73
+ The big annual picnic cake – Coolerrider

Beverages: (No Booze)
+ Water – Tater73
+ Gallon of sweet ice tea – TopPop
+ Some 2 liter Cokes, Mt Dew and a few other drinks – pierboy01
+ bring 2-3 more gallons of tea and plenty of solo cups – Dick
+ Ice and a big tub or 2 and we can keep all the drinks on ice. + 12pk of Dr. Pepper - Tofer

Accessories: (utensils, paper towels, salt and pepper, etc…)
+ Seasonings, etc. – Viking Guy
+ Plastic forks/knives/spoons - Itestdirt

[size=12pt]No offense to anyone is intended, but this thread is intended to find out what everyone is planning to bring to the picnic; not a how to do it critique. If anyone has concerns about an item someone has listed, please communicate with that individual thru PM’s and not in the thread.
That being said, let's get back to business and please post what you are going to bring to eat as we all gather for a fun day of fellowship and fun fishing.
Don’t forget to bring a kid or kids out to fish with us.

Will get with my wife in regards to either vegies or deserts.

Trying to figure out what I can bring. That week, I will be flying from Tampa, to Los Angeles, then to Gulf Shores on Friday night. Not sure how I can prepare anything with that kinda schedule. Fingers still crossed at no flight delays.

We will bring some desserts and plastic forks/knives/spoons. Let me know if there are some other things that don't get covered.

[size=12pt]Bubba, swing by the original Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank and bring us a big bag of burgers. That way you won’t have eat airport food if you get stuck somewhere! :poke1:

If someone gets me some whole fresh ladyfish (skipjacks) on ice, I will make some "secret Viking recipe" homemade fish burgers for everyone as well. May be a little early for them yet, but they should be here real soon. One ladyfish nets me on average 3 full-sized meat patties.

Puts a whole new meaning to placing fish meat between bread buns. I would make them side-dish style so as not to take away from the main course BBQ.

My wife is considering making a Cobia fresh fiesta salad. We'd consider a tuna rare fruit garden as well if an offshore angler wishes to make the fish cut available.

Will be a great day on the pier for sure!

Send me a PM, I'm be working for the picnic but I can give ya some BFT to go in the salad for the picnic. I'll be in from work by Thursday.

Well, finally got my work schedule and I will not be able to make it.

I wont be there, but can donate a kayak fishing trip for 2 into the raffle, and can drop off some cups and a couple two liters to someone a few days in advance. I've a kayak tournament, but heck, i might be putting in at the pier if things to the east don't pick up.

Maybe I missed it but is there a time we are planning on doing this at? Like straight up 12 seems like around when we've done this before.

Noon sounds good to me, I'll second that motion.

Looks like the drinks may be lacking a bit so I will bring 2-3 more gallons of tea and plenty of solo cups since I did not see those anywhere. Does anyone have access to free clean ice for the drinks?
