Well, after what happened with my tarpon today, I will not be running further tests with this product.

It's just too smooth.

I was hooked up on a good 120#+ tarpon with 6# test berkley nanofil. Yeah, I know it was a bit outmatched, but I know how to play big fish with light tackle, so it was GAME ON. :headbang:

After 26 minutes, there was a failure, and not due to breaking the line or being spooled.

No. Instead, despite being wrapped 15 TIMES in a double uni line to line knot (including a crossover), the berkley nanofil was SO smooth, that it merely slid loose from the knot at the backing knot.

No matter how hard you try, the knots for this line just don't hold and will cost you the big fish.

I will continue to endorse Power Pro: Super Slick 8 as a line capacity filler until I find a better contender for thin non-mono lines.

I too enjoy old fashioned monofilament, CarlF. It simply gets the job done. :bow:
