Sucks that the best date I could chose from is going to be a rainy Wednesday. Even worse is I can't even get out there on the date I picked.

Ok, since it's still open and it's not March 5th yet, I am dropping March 5th and picking up March 7th...if this fits within John G's rules.

So, what if you are fortunate enough to be in a position to fish every day, you hook the first king of the year on the day before YOUR day. Do you land it and have the praise from all for the first king of the year or break off, figuring someone will catch one tomorrow and get the rod?!?!

go ahead and catch it. as john g calls the first kings "scouter kings" they are ahead of the other kings and they will be caught then it will b a few days or a week or 2 until another one is caught. just depends on everthing
