I would fish my short rod in front of the vacant lot next to you. Wade out and put your bait right where the water is breaking with your short rod the water will wash the bait down the front face of the 1st bar which is where fish might be foraging for whatever might be in the wash. As for the big rod I would fish it 4 houses to the West of your house. That will put your bait in the big hole. Big rod cut bait, cigar minnows, small mullet, live shrimp etc. Small rod small hooks fingernail size fresh dead shrimp. That's the way I would start fishing that area and adjust up or down the beach if needed. Let me know how you do there as I'll be there in October.
