I like the idea of not glueing the top on (I am not sure any parts really need to be glued if they fit tight)
All the ones that glue on the top cap are so permanent you can't even replace anything inside if needed
The handle I am using is also splits to 1 1/2 inches for a smaller grip to hold on to
Like Fin said - I enjoy making this type of stuff more than just buying it
Nice indoor project on days like today when it is 7 degrees here in Chicago

I know the inner sucker tubes have to be glued
