If you use the search feature for the thread :
"oversized mower wheels on cheapo pier cooler/rod cart" you'll see my pictures. I have side and rear rodholders. Also made a handle extension that slides into a rodholder and acts as a cart brake. The cooler was on sale at wally world, already had cheap tiny plastic wheels. Used a piece of round stock to make a new longer axle, then used spacers (sleeve bearings) to fit the mower wheels to the axle. Axle caps and washers keep everything in place. Regular mower wheels would have given me enough extra height. I just went with the taller ones because they were available and free (scrap mower).

No rod holders on the grocery cart Rods just fit right in it with butts behind tackle bag and cooler Easy way to transport quite a bit on gear on the pier when you don't have a lot of space in your vehicle coming down Not expensive either I just used a regular wire one with a waterproof gear bag from an Army Surplus store Now of days though you can get all kinds and sizes with different types of bag liners I still carry one in my van along with my Pier cart that I use when I want to take less tackle etc out on docks boat slips etc
As for net vs gaff you really don't have to have one Usually always is someone willing to gaff your king but if you want something for a king I would say get a gaff I carry both as each has its purpose but you really need a gaff for a king
