High tide is in the early evening (6pm).
I would try to go anytime midmorning into the afternoon, as the speed incoming tide should slack off.
Plus Saturday is forecast to have a westerly wind and that is about ideal there (offshore).

Thanks pier#r one more question what should I use if I can't get a hold of any shrimp live or dead I dont know if jeminsons is open I have an array of artificials and plugs? Any idea what u would throw out

I'm not pier#r, but I'll give you my perspective about artificials. If you're fishing for sheepshead, use only live bait - shrimp, fiddler crabs (I use two to help hide the hook), or ghost shrimp. Don't use artificials. It has to do with the way a sheepshead feeds, which is closely inspecting barnacles before chomping down on live prey (crustaceans/mollusks) hiding in them.

REDFISH! Sorry 'bout that! Plastic Paddle-tail swimbaits work great for reds. That's my choice!

Thanks I got some ttf red killers and killer flats minnos on some red jigheads these good or you prefer anything else I also have gulp shrimp and swimming mulltet 3" and a couple different color shads

I think that if it's a good stout hook and the bait looks generally like this: Basstrix Paddle Tail Swimbait
you're good to go. I like the red jig heads, too!

If you cant find live shrimp down at DI, walk the shoreline and pick up hermit crabs. Crack em open with a hammer and pull them out. Great sheepshead bait. I'm sure reds will eat them too.

+1 on the hermit crabs, Jemison's usually carries them by now (873-4695)
The Gulp shrimp will probably work better for the reds but you will need to fish them close to the rocks (you will loose a few).

Live shrimp will be the best bet for redfish and even trout or flounder if they are around.

Thanks everyone and I won't be able to get there till about 1030 and I'm hoping for some live shrimp and I will use the gulp some too I'll let y'all know how I do :) and gulp shrimp run them close to the Jerry rocks that stick out into the water or the ones close to the shore or both sorry I'm a total newbie
