All I can say is that I wish y'all the joy of using one of John's rods. I have the pleasure of owning three of his king rods in different actions, and they definitely do what they are supposed to. It is a thrill to fight a big fish on one of those rods---can really feel what the fish is doing, but that, unfortunately, includes when it is being eaten by a shark, which is as close as I want to experience it.
But I digress. Getcha one of those rods. I'd like to be there, but I expect I'll be fighting cogon grass again---trying to get it before it gets any more established this season.
