I need some ideas. Having a cart to haul the stuff is out. I know that would be the best way but I don't have the room to bring one down.
What I would like to carry is: rods and reels at least 4, tackle, sand spikes, live bait and cooler to put fish in. Ideally I would like something that will help keep my rods, reels and tackle out of the sand.
I know there are lots of creative minds on here and I am sure somebody has got something that works great. Pictures would be awesome.

Ive seen people use those plastic snow sleds for kids, put a cooler on it, attatch some pvc pipe to the cooler for rods, seems to work good as long as its not top heavy, top heavy they turn over if you get sideways on a sand dune

Regular long plastic snow sled.....that is what pier#r suggest.....for me never messed with the sand....always the pier.....I have walked out to the beach to visit the wife once or twice with rod and jig, made some cast then went back to the condo, after returning from the pier......

We have a Wheeleze Beach Cart ( sorry, no pics ). It is collapsible, and the wheels come off. We chose it because of limited space in the car, and really like it. I strap our 30 in., 1 1/2in. sand pipes to it, set the rods in the sand pipes and away we go. It holds our 30 qt. cooler, live bait cooler and tackle bag. Of course, we carry the beach umbrella and sand auger in a case on Carolyns back! And her beach chair, lol. Low pressure gauge is a must, as the wheels are 3-4 psi, max. For twenty years we had used aluminum hand trucks, so in our olden years this cart is much better for me.
I see guys bringing 3 or 4 rods out of the pier that are bungee corded together. They have a shoulder bag style cooler and tackle bag on the other arm. I have looked at using a something similar to a golf club bag, but put rods and sand spikes in it. they make one that has a bi-pod so it will stand on its own. It will have a couple of large pockets you can put tackle, pliers and such in. Then carry a small cooler for bait, drinks and snacks. Put a large trash bag in it to keep your fish from sliming everything. I want a royalty fee if you go into production with it.
I got a folding cart from academy. Doesn't take up much space. Got some pvc and used hose clamps on the 4 corners, didn't effect it folding up to normal size. Bought a drink cooler from walmart that fits good. has room for 2. And still has room for sand spikes, tackle trays, chair. Cart was like $35 on sale, hose clamps aren't much. Pretty inexpensive and effective for someone like me who only gets to surf fish a few times a year. Hope this helps.
Any kind of cart needs some sort of fat tires on the beach or it will be like pulling a plow through the sand (unless it has just rained). The snow sled sounds like a good idea to me, and probably less expensive.
The golf bag line of thinking is really good. I like it.
