That little Sail last year was lit up when it came in.

The one and only Bob Colquett with his sailfish caught off the old pier. Weighed about 42 lbs.

Anyway fishing the pier is ALWAYS amazing for me, and every day a blessing.
Each is filled with fleeting moments seeing amazing things with (usually) amazing people.
Sadly they (like the day) are too quickly gone.

... take pictures!
... and use them to write about your experiences.
Otherwise they will just be 'tall tales' that fishermen tell when the bite is slow ;-)

years ago I taught a class for people at UAB on fishing the pier and surf..amazing how many folks came..did this at request of a Doc friend who wanted something to do while his wife laid on the beach...John G I still have the "BAMA" rod you made for me...will take it with me when I go just in case..lol

Bob,if there's still a little pier fishing desire in your veins,come fish with the early AM crew during the week days.It's not like it used to be but I think you would enjoy it.

Hi Bobby This is Lefty Jenkins.If you are The guy i fished with on the old pier way back yonder i would l ike to talk to you. Have not been able to fish on new pier.we are home bound now.
