After reading the article, no wonder the "googans" meet us with such hostility when we try and correct them. They've been fishing the reel the right way all along. just when you think you know what you're doing.....

Same here. I get some strange looks every now and then. My dad is left handed and that's how I was taught when he took me fishin.

Bait caster my left hand. Perfectly normal. spinning rod in my right hand, perfectly normal. anything else just feels weird.

I cast right handed and hold my bait casters in my left hand and reel right. I hold my spinning reels in my right hand and reel left.
