Sometimes I am also sorry that FinChaser is a Moderator/Administrator too. But that's the price you pay for starting a forum.
1, He or she, you asked. I am a he and my government issued I. D. confirms that.
2. You say people can't ignore me, au contraire mon ami! If you will go to your account settings and look in the left hand column, you can click Edit Ignore List and simply type in FinChaser. Just like magic, you won't see my offensive posts any more! If it doesn't work, just let us know, one of us can probably fix it so you can't see my posts. Actually, I think it only takes two clicks!
3.You say there is a remedy and I am wondering if it might be covered under the Affordable Care Act prescription coverage or is it an over the counter remedy?

I understood that political comments were to be confined to the "off-topic" area, and that the moderators would enforce this. Since I seem to be mistaken in this, I will withdraw from this forum. It's a shame T-Wagon quit because, in reality, FinChaser does not exist. He is a cyber ghost, and in order to keep the fiction alive we have a series of extraordinarily good looking older gentlemen who show up at the pier on a random basis to impersonate him. The pirate flag and flamingo on his cart were chosen by a secret committee of forum members. For those who fear the takeover of civilization by computers, this is fuel for your fire, since the website created Fin's identity soon after it was started and it produced a composite image to be posted that seems to be detailed, but close inspection will show that it isn't---could be anybody with those general features. All those people you see with cameras and cell phones taking photos contribute to the "FinChaser Photography" fiction. It's a shame that this is the truth because the FinChaser persona is a truly superior being and we all wish that there were actually a real person like it to do so much work on this website and help folks on the pier.

I just hope I don't get in trouble for revealing this closely guarded secret. Gotta go now, I think one of the new pills is kicking in.

Just to get back to what is important; can anyone give me some detail on what is happening from the shore to the bathrooms? That is about as far as I get with my mobility issues. I will be down in 10 days and I am perfectly happy with whiting, ground mullet, flounder, pompano, bluefish, specks, reds, etc. The reports from my sister and friends currently at the Four Seasons are quite poor. It appears from the photos they send me that the pier has sanded in and is mostly very shallow this year. Hey Finchaser, thanks for all you do and I doubt that you realize how important this forum and all of it's regular posters are to an old geezer like me. I read it regularly and begin thinking of my next trip to the Gulf. I APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU GUYS AND LADIES THAT POST HERE. My sister has caught four cobia this week but all very small. I wish you all good fishing.......

Some good historical reading in that article as well as precations for avoiding it.

The current episode may include a slight 'spike' in occurances and there is an ongoing suspicion/investigation that tarballs left over from the 2010 oil spill may be concentrated 'incubators' for this and other bacteria.

I haven't seen any tests or articles relating to the inherent dangers of picking up dead carcasses on the beach but always followed my mother's sound advice "PUT THAT DOWN, IT'S DEAD!" ;-)

If my 'cuteness' and/or levity in relaying this obviously grave situation (eeek, we're all gonna die) offends anyone here I sincerely appologize and suggest they take a Midol, a nap or just a deep breath and get over it!
