BTW, his show was the longest running syndicated outdoor sport TV program in history! (something like 35 years!)

I tell folks to start with several basic rigs (and knots) and build on that as situations warrant.

I use to have a Taxidermy shop in Tennessee for 18 years. I knew Archie and his son Bubba from Taxidermy shows we both attended. I don't know a John Phillips. Archie did have Outdoors with Archie Philips.
