OK, I'm a Wisconsin snobird and have fished the surf for some years, but I've never known whether I was better off landing my bait inside or outside the sandbar. Now, my spine is screwed up and the docs have ruled me off the sand. Gotta figure out something else.

Honestly, I am not sure Tom. But your speculation has merit as recent rains would have brought an influx of nutrients into eastern LL and a subsequent increase in macroscopic life feeding on that...
Rain/Red minnows shortage this...
