Re: Best lure
i like a 2oz surf spoon for the big stuff. and a 1/2,3/4,or 1oz white loony jig for everything else. If you want to spend the money, a yozuri lure (or a bass pro shops brand of the same basic lure) with a natural look(darker back, white stomach) or a red head and white body is arguably the best all around lure out there
I figure it this way, if everyone in the world had a lie clock, whose hands moved once every time they lied. You could use any politicians lie clock as a ceiling fan.

Re: Best lure
I like the larger 1-1/2 & 2-1/4 oz, Luhr-Jensen Krocodiles in Green or Blue Mackerel.
The Jacks and Bull Reds sure do like them too.Ragnar Benson:

Re: Best lure
Thanks Chilie,
Sometime this spring or summer I would like to meet you at the Fort to fish. Is there a cheap motel at Fort Morgan?

another good spoon type is the silver tsunami, you can get them at J&M for like $6

Define "cheap."
The only "cheap" motels I have found are in Mobile or PCola -- as in $60 a night or less. Get much less and they are too dirty and/or dangerous for me to sleep there. FWIW.

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for an abundant fishery and a magnificent pier, from which to access that fishery. I'm thankful for the morning view of the sunrise and what a spectacular view it is...
Happy Thanksgiving!
