Not real happy using the fluid bed paint system....got to slow down on the dunking vers dipping in the jar
top 4 are 2oz
next 2 are 1-1/2oz
bottom are the 1oz
They look good Bill I don't think the fish will look that close before bitting. I think the paint is a little more for the fisherman. I'm sure they will catch the heck out of fish.
Get your lead a little hotter Bill. See if that helps.
That was the first with the large ones , still doing the rest (1oz & less) without the fluid bed

Tying a few teasers to go with my crude imitation of the goofy jig.....they look better painted, and all sent down there for a trial run.....hoping for a catching report before my arrival in a few months:D

How is a teaser rigged with a goofy jig?
I see most people in Gulf Shores tying the jig and teaser on a 4-5" loop with hooks positioned away from each other. Last April when I went to Navarre with Ironman everyone over there fished the jig on the end of the line and the teaser on a very short dropper about 5-6" above the jig.Quote:

Then folks started modifying it with a short loop knot...

Then the loop got longer and folkes in south FL started calling the longer loop variation a "Silly Willy"

Either way, the key is the brightly colored 'banana jig' (1/2 to 3/4 oz) and the 'kicker' is the fly.
Keeping it on a fairly short shanked hook seems to be the norm...
