Re: pvc pipe pier cart
It depends on what size you make it and the size of the pipe. I used 1 inch pipe for mine and finished it somewhere between 50 and 70 dollars. It does the trick

Re: pvc pipe pier cart
I didn't think it would be that much. What did you use for wheels ?
Sam post a picture of yours.

Re: pvc pipe pier cart
the fittings are what jack the price up. I did not even pay for wheels, my uncle found me a great set of old lawn mower wheels to use. I would post a pic but I'm not at home and won't be for another couple weeks :boohoo:

Re: pvc pipe pier cart
Pipe is cheap but fittings (especially crosses) and tires run the price up. Still cheaper than store bought cart though, and you have the satisfaction of custom building it yourself to suit your needs. Mine cost just over $100. I built mine before the new pier opened and I was only surf fishing so I spent extra money on tires with plastic wheels and nylon bushings so it wouldn't rust. If I was only using it on the pier I would buy cheaper tires from Harbor Freight. Since this pic was taken I added an upright handle with small cutting board and two more rod holders on the sides (at angle) so longer rods would clear the gate overhead at pier entrance.

Re: pvc pipe pier cart
Your on the very cutting edge of pier cart technology Tuck. That is one nice looking cart.
Here is my problem, when I come down there, I'm in a Honda Accord so space is at a priemum.
I need something that will break down or I need to rent a cart. Does anyone rent carts at OB?
