well,,split the diff,,243 win I like a rem 700,,,if you have a shotgun,,,duh huh 410 wif 3 inch 6's good for backdoor stuff(read pool que hole);243 offers better trajectory than 308,,,for hunting just a lil more conscious shot placement required,,,,never thought of it but sure the mob scene is the same,,old 64 700 I have shot for 50 plus years,no food plot got aways ever!,,cant even begin to count,,,over 100 or better,If people are over 50 yds away,,why shoot?,,duh huh again,,,I would not begin to consider them a threat,, but I live in a very rural environment and things do change.

Chili those are some amazing weapons. I just got into guns a little over a year ago. I have a Mossberg 500a tactical with a flashlight with hand control, 2 side saddle shell holders (10 shells total) a red dot sight, an ATI AR stock and a 15 round sling. Hand guns are a Glock 22 and 27, Ruger SR40 and a SCCY 9mm. I have 18 clips between the glocks, 8 for the Ruger and only 2 for the SCCY. I have over 1,000 rounds for the 40's and just 200 for the 9mm. I buy few boxes whenever I'm at the store. DUCK turned me on to the SCCY and for the money you cant beat it. My gf likes to shoot it so it stays on her side of the bed. I'm trying to buy 1 gun a year for now. In a few months I'll be the only person working as my GF will be going back to school to get her nursing degree. I've also been looking at the Sig 556R which is a 7.62x39 round. The Sigs can be switched out with a different upper and barrel. Could be something I'll look into.
Thanks, for all the replies. I knew I'd get some good advice.

Walmart had the Sig Patrol 716 .308 AR10 regular $1999 on sale for $999 a couple months back. There was one in stock in Gulf Shores in late June. I wanted one very badly but then I couldn't have spent a week at the pier.

Hopefully without derailing BBJ's thread, I can't help noticing that Kimber is coming up a lot now. My constant companion is a custom shop Pro CDP II.
Shortly after I got it I woke up in the wee hrs. after having had several adult beverages and thought I was seeing 3 full moons. Snapped on the light and there they were on the dresser.............. the tritium night sights on my new .45 shining like full moons! I really love them sights, and really got no need for a laser rig.Beware the power of fools in large numbers
Tom, we really enjoyed hearing you two tonight at Post 44. We have heard you before at the Elks Club, but you were in particularly good voice tonight. That was as fine a rendition of "You Were...
