Aaand 3 more deer are "suspect positive" in the county to the north, each from a different township. I'm guessing things are already farther reaching than most people would've expected.

i'll damn near try anything. but...i have enough brains of my own.
you know...or not.
Grandma always fried them, uncles would kill them and she would skin and then flour and fry,a properly cooked head will pop when struck with a spoon or fork from what I seen
I wonder if those squirrel brains taste anything like the scrambled eggs with pig brains we used to have every year at hog killing time? Don't really recall the taste, but some of us cousins quit eating it when we learned what it was.
I'm afraid its only a matter of time before cwd is common in all of the contiguous states. Very disheartening. I turned in 2 deer for testing in Michigan over Thanksgiving, but the lab is overloaded (2 weeks for results). Glad there's been such a willingness to cooperate with the testing initiative.
I killed a 5 pt this morning with the AR and 62g bullets,it was a survivor of EHD ,had fresh back strap for lunch, good so far :) will try to post a picture of his hoofs in a few days
Just read that cwd was recently found in a wild deer in Mississippi. The spread continues.
