Re: GOUT REMEDIES PLEASE!
Yea, I rarely buy any meats. I live on venison, wild turkey (meat), and fish that I catch. I don't doubt that venison might be one of the causes of my gout, but I refuse to pay such high prices for meat when I can fill my freezer by hunting and fishing. I guess I shouldn't complain about the occasional flare up since I'm so stubborn. By the way, I plan on bringing some of my famous deer jerky for you guys to try next time I come to the pier.

Re: GOUT REMEDIES PLEASE!
i have it....ok ...my dr told me to go on a low salt diet due to blood pressure insident i had recently... i basically did my version of meditreian diet....with no salt......
i will say that all of my artirits pain is gone.....i asked my dr about it and she said it was probably due to the salt. regardless not gout flares in almost a year where i was having one every few months. also knees and shoulders back have not felt htis good in 20 years...
i still eat more meats that what the med diet calls for but i also eat alot more fresh veggies.
one last thing... water with lemon every day and lots of it...lemon is high in potassium and the potassium helps your body rid of hte sodium...give it a try...

Re: GOUT REMEDIES PLEASE!
Absolutely nothing more painful . I've been taking 100mg Allopurinol once a day for several years now and have had no major flare ups during that time . Also eating dried cherries helps .
It’s getting to be that time of the year for this legend to appear. https://youtu.be/v5pPeY_3m_w?feature=shared
