If fileting spanish for the fryer i will remove the strip.. but my reds are always on the halfshell.
I think its all personal preference.. me and my kids like grilled buttered and salted asparagus, but my gf's kids don't.. i won't eat catfish , but they love it..Nurse -- Father -- Falconer

I always remove blood lines. To me it makes the fish taste stronger. A lot of guys I know cover the strong flavor by soaking in milk. (A waste of good milk), covering with mayo, mustard. Spices, worcestershire etc. To cover the fishy taste. I'd rather taste the fish. Just my style.
