Find a rod that meet your needs in regards to performance, quality, size, action and its build up (one or two peice, guides, handle, etc). Then paint it the shade of blue you like. No need to settle for powder or midnight when you're looking for electric.

So I took J55's advice again. I went with a 7' Tsunami Airwave. Feels like it's just about perfect! I also couldn't help but grab a few extras from Tackle Direct. You know, because you've gotta spend $100 to get free shipping, and that always justifies extras! Thanks for the help and advice y'all!

Here's the best pic I can get of the balance. I think either a 3500 or a 4500 would feel nice on it, but no bigger or smaller.
J55, if it fishes as good as it feels, it will be a worth purchase indeed!"Yes I am a pirate, 200 years too late" - JB
