Nah! I want to keep the locals on my side when I visit the pier again chillin. Might take it with anyhow for surf fishing.

Honestly, I am not sure Tom. But your speculation has merit as recent rains would have brought an influx of nutrients into eastern LL and a subsequent increase in macroscopic life feeding on that...
Rain/Red minnows shortage this...
