Albeit a man made catroshpy, the fishing where the westerly flow drains back to the gulf is phenomal at low tide. About 200 yards west of the pass mouth is one heck of a fishing hole.
I would suggest a short wire leader as large packs of ravenous blues tend to gather about 2 hours before low tide.....just sayin'

Everytime i try to go out on boat the excavation gang surrounds me
To supposedly fix his drainage my neighbor had the city dig out in front of my house making an ditch that cannot be mowed and no longer allows parking because of the angle. Did not fix his drainage. I know the squeaking wheel always wins but why do upstream owners always get cared for first? In this example lagoon is upstream of littoral drift towards beaches to the west.

Remove all the structures and let the pass naturally close up?
