Look at the link above for reports, try using the search option also. And as far as the LYs, better just stop and pickup some shrimp. And if this is all too much to do, you can stop at a local fish market and buy your catch.
Re: Need some info guys!!!!! heading there next week!!!!!!
if there is no ly's , will there be plenty of those pinfish to catch around the wall at perdito you think? they seemed to do pretty decent as cut bait etc.
Re: Need some info guys!!!!! heading there next week!!!!!!
There shouldn't be many pin fish around, but I may be wrong. I usually try to stay away from the pin fish. If you want cut bait, just buy a box of pogies or something.
Re: Need some info guys!!!!! heading there next week!!!!!!
hows all that frozen do? is it worth a flip?
Re: Need some info guys!!!!! heading there next week!!!!!!
and what about hooking into a shark. are there any around this time of the year? i know you cant pull them up on the pier BUT does a guy stand a chance of hooking one at perdito pass? and any of those bluefish hanging around right now like on the pier and perdito?
Re: Need some info guys!!!!! heading there next week!!!!!!
Frozen bait works great, that being said, a ballyhoo under a popping cork fished in the surf may not be your best option. Frozen bait works great when used in the right application. There's quite a few fisherman that will only use frozen bait.

seriously. appreciate you taking your time to respond and give your 2 cents worth... id try to return the favor , but i am greeeeen when it comes to saltwater fishing.... all i know i came down for my first time last may for a week and just about lived on the pier night and day, and i havn't slept worth a crap sense lol. only thing was , it got expensive loosing hundreds of yards of power pro braid to stuff i coudlnt hardly turn around. anyone else to chime in and throw their 2 cents worth in for me?
Re: Need some info guys!!!!! heading there next week!!!!!!
If it's not to late you might want to put your trip off for a few weeks, catching season hasn't started yet. It's kind of like going to a ski lodge during the end of March and there being no snow then telling the people ,but there was plenty here a month ago.. There should be some sheepshead next week but that's about it.
