Not true info Haywire. Several of us regulars had a meeting with State employees and were given all the information. Appears they have the fisherman's interests in mind. Too much speculation and false information in these posts.

Let's all chill out, relax, and plan a visit for early January. Besides, we can take bets on which happens first: reopening of the pier or big league baseball. Of course the anticipation of Haywire's "nipple danglers" in a fish tank may require an age requirement for pier entry.

Early on I was joking around since I've seen a few impractical architect "innovations." I did not mean to add to any agitation. I have also personally seen a few good pier decks. This one is not perfect, but on the right track (EXCEPT a finite number of king season passes and no tourist fishing on the end was offputting to me as a tourist, but GSSP doesn't do that.)

Ironman: a freezer, really? Can you imagine the smell and disgust of a parking lot cleaning table with scales and guts all over? And then get someone to monitor a freezer! I hope not in my lifetime. Just saying.
