If it's going to be a rainy weekend why not check out some of the local sites? The Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola is a really cool and free. I've also heard great things about QulfQuest National Museum of the Gulf in Mobile (it's on my list for my next trip down there).
I married a coffee snob and she loves Southern Grind Coffee for their espresso drinks.
I you can hear thunder Lighting can reach out and hit. If you are on the water and hear lighting need to get off. Lighting strikes have been measured up to 20 miles from the original start point. That is extreme but dont take a chance.
I am looking for a deal on a few day trip but due to long range wx forecast I am looking for 02jun and next few days after that. If anyone knows a good deal for 3 or 4 days for 2 bedroom place then message me details or number.

We were there last year when Cindy blew through. it was our 7th year, so it was only a matter of time before we had to pay our dues. But as noted, keep the kids out of the water. we were really strict about that because we've seen the rips over the years out west of Gulf Shores in Ft. Morgan (where there aren't life guards) and they are deadly. Once you've seen people taken out and have to be rescued on what look like ok days, getting in the water on days before or during a storm will seem like insanity. Sadly, we were just about half a mile from where the little boy was killed during Cindy last year by the log that was tossed up on the beach. The build up of the swells and the general wind/beach conditions and rainfall totals before and during were impressive. And that ended up landing in Louisiana and was a tropical storm. It was an experience, though I'd prefer to not do it again and lose all those beach and fishing days!Quote:
