That shorty grocery cart model looked cool. Nice vertical stack that doesn't take up too much real estate and it probably wouldn't be difficult to add some larger wheels to it. There's a lot of "free-range" grocery buggies in SW Atlanta.
Also lots of hooks and splinters just waiting to puncture a tire Wheeleez Tire . I'll just keep changing my out when I fish the pier. Just wish there was some kind of EZEE change for them rather than taking the nuts and u bolts out each time .Quote:

Well I'm not sure how the pic is sideways, but here's my contraption. I didn't see the need, since I only get to fish the pier or beach one week a year, to spend a ton of money on a cart. So, I robbed the wide wheels of the old cooler toward the rear of the pic and made the new rolling cooler a dually. I removed the narrow tires and bought a new longer metal rod to mount the wide wheels. Hopefully it won't be very troublesome to get across the sand while going to fish the surf.

Same thing I did for my once a year trips and it worked great last month.
How did you attach the rod holder to.the cooler?
The rod holder came with 4 stainless steel screws. I just screwed them directly into the cooler. They were the perfect length. I just made sure not to over tighten. It seems to be holding just fine.Quote:

I also added stainless bolt and nut at the bottom of the plastic for a rod stop, longer handle rods might drag the ground if you don't, the picture above looks real close to the ground when sitting there , he might want to add these bolts for a rod butt stop ....use nylon nut to lock it from backing off ....I also cut a piece of rubber hose for the inside so the bolt wasn't against the rod butt
plastic and insulation may not serve those screws for very long with a little weight or movementQuote:
