The round rug
Finally found (right in front of me) something easy for cutting a good circle net.....I like small square netting verses larger squares that an open mouth can cut right through it (spanish) still will need dipped (like all drop nets should be)
Now that I look at it, might be a little large....I have a half rug that might be the same size as netting from Brunson's on the current net.
Where did you get that netting? My net is in need of some TLC from Spanish and the occasional trouble "treble" hook.
Local flea market.....I have a bunch....is your hoop ring split? And what diameter?
The piece on my pier net (from Brunson's was 6.00) heavier netting with small squares. ...just needed dipped and of coarse cut.....think it was 42in square for a 31in hoop .....I like a shallower net, easier to get over the rail with a fish (especially big fish) then added the aluminum meshed bottom with stainless ring on the inside, for tooth protection(spanish)
Both rings are solid. Not sure on the diameter. I'll check when I get home.Quote:

31in dia +or - ....had to hand bend it at the house so not perfect but don't think the fish will mind or hopefully the new owner....getting prepped to weld the cut 3/8 nuts so the 3 part rope stays put.
Finishing the tig welding the rope eyes on the gaffs now that it has warmed up some.....but the wind today is my enemy tiging with the gas shield
Think I'll be cutting the netting down some seems to big of diameter for the hoop ring
Fishing all day, raking sandfleas at midnight, scraping oysters from the seawall, cleaning fish, eating fantastic seafood, staying out late at Adventure Island and eating ice cream afterwards will wear a middle aged man out. Testing drinking water for CO2, Alkalinity, Chlorine residual, PH, Turbidity, Iron, Manganese, Chlorite, measuring and adjusting Alum feed, lime feed, Copper Sulfate feed, backwashing filters, monitoring system pressure, tank levels, pump status, and underground storage levels is rest compared to being at the beach.Quote:
